7 Reasons WHY WE LOVE (Romantic) VIETNAM!

  1. If you want to travel as a couple on your own or stay at one resort for the duration of your honeymoon or romantic break, then Vietnam is perhaps not the most ideal destination for you. Few locals are fluent in English and it’s highly recommended that you trust the guidance of one of the local English guides. But as far as romantic credentials go, Vietnam will tick many boxes! The country is filled with breath-taking landscapes and there are numerous World Heritage Sites known for their exquisite natural beauty.
  2. Vietnam is home to the beautiful Halong Bay (also a UNESCO World Heritage site) where you can spend a night on a luxurious ‘Junk’ boat and cruise amid the limestone karst islands. Sunsets and daybreaks will have you breathless! Swim in the sparkling clear water and explore many captivating grottoes. Why not book a classic Bhaya Cruise with us and experience a delicious Vietnamese cooking demonstration on board! Or simply relax on the upper deck and enjoy nature’s natural breath-taking beauty!
  3. Hoi An, a charming riverside town, is home to beautiful merchant houses, quaint tea stores and peaceful pagodas. Nightlife in Hoi An becomes a beautifully romantic setting when the town is lit with colourful lanterns! Enjoy the many quaint riverside cafés or take romantic strolls along the river’s boardwalk. During the day you can explore and find less crowded beaches such as An Bang & Cua Dai Beach.
  4. A must-do in Hoi An is an Eco Tour River Cruise. Meet and engage with local fisherman and experience the art of river net fishing. You can also enjoy paddling a unique bamboo basket boat known as a ‘Coracle’ as you explore the many coconut palmed waterways.
  5. Mai Chau, only four hours’ drive from the bustling Vietnamese Capital, Hanoi, offers a vastly different experience with many romantic views of lush picturesque valleys and dotted stilt (local) properties.
  6. Vietnamese cooking is a wonderful couple experience shared with locals. Apart from getting to know more about your partner, you will also learn much about Vietnamese Culture. Another great advantage is that Vietnamese food is super healthy, simple to cook and totally delicious! When we plan your romantic break, it will include a half day cooking class and hands-on guidelines on how to shop and cook authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
  7. Whether you visit Vietnam as a family, a budget conscious traveller, as part of a scheduled group tour or as a romantic couple, you must visit (what all our clients refer to as one of their highlights) the historic Cu Chi Tunnels. The Tunnels were the key battleground area of the Vietnam War. This vast expanse of underground tunnels was used by Viet Cong guerrillas as a communication and supply route as well as living quarters for the fighters during the war. This is a truly intriguing and fascinating experience.
